North Cyprus Guide

What could be more fulfilling and exciting than knowing that you have bought a property in a beautiful, harmonious, romantic island known by all as the unspoiled 'Jewel of the Mediterranean'. North Cyprus offers any person of any age and any ability the chance to enjoy life to the full. With over 300 days of sunshine per year, yes that is 300 days of the fabulous Mediterranean sun, it is possible for you to enjoy outdoor living throughout all four seasons. Please see each individual subject to understand more about the natural beauty of North Cyprus and all the different things there are to do.

* Karpaz

There is so much to do that you never have the chance to do at home. Masses of glorious natural golden beaches, some with a mile long coast line and hardly another person in sight, gives you the chance to stroll around free or even perhaps camp overnight in this natural paradise.

* Scuba Diving and Tandem Paragliding

Take a splash and try scuba diving with a PADI qualified scuba instructor who will take you in to the depths of the Mediterranean Sea where you can explore the beautiful underwater world of North Cyprus.
Jump off the Besparmak mountains with the highly professional Paragliding Tandem Pilots. This will leave your adrenalin pumping- so a relaxing evening meal in the wonderful Venetian harbour overlooking the old castle should do the trick to slow the heart rate.

* Fruit and Vegetables

The healthiest life style you could possibly wish for, with most fruit and vegetables organically grown in North Cyprus itself. They are not only very fresh and unbelievably tasty but they are also very cheap compared to other European countries. The local Pazar (market) is held in the main towns; Every Wednesday Kyrenia, every Saturday in Güzelyurt and every Friday in Famagusta. There you can buy a good range of fruit and vegetables, a weeks supply for a family of 4 for just £10. You must remember the local people in North Cyprus are ever so friendly. They will enjoy a good haggle with you and are very happy to help tourists.

* Restaurants

In the Colder months you can keep warm in the cosiest of rustic restaurants sipping back a glass of local wine in front of spectacular authentic log burning fires whilst waiting for a traditional Turkish supper. There are 1000’s of fantastic restaurants catering for all. For the warmer evenings, perhaps you would prefer a romantic evening next to the sea where you can share lobster whilst enjoying the sunset. You might like to eat the night away and try a tasty traditional Turkish Meze - where when you think you have finished your meal things have only just got started!

Water Parks

Have some good family fun at a variety of water parks available for all ages. From Kyrenia through to Famagusta.

Skiing

Try skiing in the popular Trodos mountains only one hour away. If you’re not too good with your balance that’s fine, just don’t let the children miss out. They can have lessons and go skiing with a Professional Instructor whilst you can relax and enjoy the sunshine at the top of the mountain, having the pleasure of seeing your Children enjoying the fun. Or if you are the ultimate skiing family why not try Uludag, the very up market ski resort in Bursa just an hour and a half flight away in Turkey.

Turtle watching

Do a little something for conservation and help out the volunteers that watch over the Turtles as they lay their eggs in their natural environment at Alagadi beach, just 15 minutes from Kyrenia travelling east on the coastal road.

Sailing

Plenty of opportunities for those of you who love being on top of the water. Masses of beautiful boats to choose from for a relaxing day at sea. Tours set sail from Kyrenia Harbour in the morning and sail to different coves throughout the day stopping for a refreshing swim which will leave you feeling hungry for a typical Mediterranean lunch that is served on board.

Water Sports

Most beach resorts have speed boats with a choice of fun donuts for those who like the extreme life. Jet skis, canoe boats and pedal boats are also for hire.

Driving

It’s just like driving in the UK, just the roads are a little less congested and there are not as many traffic lights or speed cameras on every corner.

Health Farms and Fitness centres

Well, you have a large choice here. Every single aspect of real professional pampering that you could ever imagine at half the price you would usually pay in the UK and with ultimate customer focus. With the advantage of brand new centres that are very clean, hygienic and that have the most up to date modern equipment.
